What is JamGPT?

JamGPT is positioned around the debugging workflow for software teams, using Jam recordings to capture bugs, feedback, and ideas together with the technical context available at the time. It is useful when developers, support teams, and other collaborators need to understand what happened from the reporter’s perspective instead of piecing together a long text explanation and disconnected screenshots. The result is a shared issue record that can serve as a starting point for investigation.

People can record a screen or take a screenshot through the browser extension, and the iOS app supports recording and sharing issues from a mobile device. Customers can also submit a recording through a Recording Link without downloading or installing Jam. Jam AI can suggest a title, summary, and reproduction steps, after which teams can route the record to tools such as Linear, Jira, Slack, or AI tooling for triage and follow-up.

Key features of JamGPT

  • In-context issue capture

The browser extension can record the screen or capture a screenshot while a bug, feedback item, or idea is visible. This gives software teams a concrete issue record to review while the original context is still available.

  • Technical context collection

Jam attaches available logs, network requests, user events, and device details to the recording. Engineers can use this surrounding context as an initial investigation point instead of relying only on the reporter’s description.

  • AI summaries and repro clues

Jam AI suggests a title, summary, and reproduction steps from the captured record. These structured starting points help developers and coding agents understand the reported issue and decide where investigation should begin.

  • Workflow routing

Teams can send Jams to Linear, Jira, Slack, or AI tooling for triage and follow-up. Recording Links also let customers submit issues, helping the captured feedback enter an existing support, collaboration, or engineering workflow.
