What is 文涌Effidit?
Wenyong Effidit is an intelligent writing assistant developed by Tencent AI Lab for people working with Chinese and English text. As a research prototype, it explores how AI can support writing efficiency and the overall creative experience during drafting and revision.
Writers can use it for correction, completion, rewriting, expansion, and continuation while working with text, as well as for word and sentence recommendations. It is suited to drafting, refining, and extending content when users want help maintaining context and developing an expression further.
Key features of 文涌Effidit
Chinese and English correction
The assistant checks Chinese and English text for typographical, spelling, and grammatical errors, then provides suggested corrections. It is useful for reviewing drafts or catching basic language issues while writing.
Contextual text completion
Based on the text already entered, the assistant can complete phrases, sentences, and more fully formed passages that follow the existing context. This helps when the direction is clear but the wording still needs to be developed.
Style-guided continuation
After the user provides a text prefix and selects a style, the assistant can continue the passage in line with the existing material. This is suitable for extending a scene, idea, or paragraph while keeping the requested expressive direction.
Word and sentence refinement
When a word or sentence is selected, the assistant can suggest contextually suitable alternatives or offer another phrasing through rewriting. Its Super Word Dictionary also uses keywords to recommend synonyms, antonyms, related word types, modifiers, and related entities.
