What is Warp Code?

Warp Code is Warp’s agentic development platform for moving from a coding request to reviewed, production-ready changes. Developers can describe work with rich prompts that include file references, images, and voice input, then let agents scope the task and propose an editable plan.

The platform brings agent collaboration, code editing, terminal interaction, and review into one development surface. It is designed for individual developers and engineering teams working across codebases, multi-repository changes, and different stages of the software development lifecycle.

Key features of Warp Code

  • Prompt-driven planning

Developers can describe a feature, bug, or refactoring request in natural language and add context through file references, images, or voice input. Agents can scope the work, surface tradeoffs, and produce a plan that the user can edit before implementation continues, making the workflow useful when direction needs to remain reviewable.

  • Multi-model agent workflows

Warp Code provides access to models from OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, and xAI, along with selected open-source models. Mixed-model agents can route individual steps to different models, while Oz agents can coordinate complex multi-repository changes such as updating client-server contracts or related internal documentation.

  • Terminal, computer, and code review

Agents can use the terminal for interactive commands and use computer interaction to verify changes end to end. Developers can inspect generated code in real time, review the resulting changes, leave comments, and re-prompt the agent, keeping review and iteration connected before code is shipped.

  • Codebase context and integrations

Warp Code offers real-time codebase indexing and multi-repository awareness for work in large professional codebases. Users can guide responses with rules, documents, and URLs, and connect services such as Linear, Figma, Slack, and Sentry through MCP so agents can work with relevant project context.
