Gemini is Google’s generative AI assistant for conversational help with writing, planning, brainstorming, research, and content organization. Beyond ordinary chat, Canvas provides an editable workspace for creating documents, slide decks, applications, and code with Gemini. Canvas content can be transformed into formats such as web pages, infographics, quizzes, or Audio Overviews, while application work can move between a live preview, source code, recent changes, and console output.
The product is designed for writers, researchers, students, developers, and other knowledge workers handling complex material. Deep Research first prepares an editable plan and then analyzes sources including Google Search, uploaded files, and Gmail, Drive, or NotebookLM content that the account holder explicitly adds or connects. Deep Research requires users to be at least eighteen and signed in, applies daily and concurrent-request limits, and Canvas also requires sign-in; shared Canvas links currently open only on the Gemini website rather than the mobile app.
